About The Allergy Dietitian Clinic

The Allergy Dietitian Clinic is a dedicated paediatric nutrition service supporting families across Australia through phone consultations in addition to face-to-face appointments in Adelaide, SA.

We specialise in food allergies and intolerances, with particular expertise in infants and children with complex allergy needs. Our goal is to guide families through the challenges of food allergies in a safe, practical, and effective way — reducing stress, building confidence, and making sure every child gets the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

We understand how overwhelming it can feel when:

  • Your child has been diagnosed with food allergies or intolerances

  • You're breastfeeding and navigating elimination diets and reintroductions

  • Your baby has a cow's milk allergy and you're about to start solids

  • You're unsure which foods are safe or how to read nutrition labels

  • Mealtimes are stressful, with fussiness, poor intake, or growth concerns

At The Allergy Dietitian Clinic, we believe in simple, clear advice that reduces anxiety and builds confidence. We're here to support you with expert, evidence-based care that works in real family life.

All consultations are provided by an Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) with extensive experience in paediatric allergy. We offer phone consultations Australia-wide to make support accessible wherever you are.

Meet your Allergy Dietitian - Laura Freer

A smiling woman with short hair, wearing a black blazer and a light-colored top, standing against a plain white background.

Hi, I'm Laura Freer — Founder and Principal Dietitian at The Allergy Dietitian Clinic, and a Paediatric Allergy Dietitian with almost 20 years' experience supporting babies, children, and their families.

I am the Senior Dietitian — Allergy & Clinical Immunology with the Allergy/Immunology Service at Flinders Medical Centre in South Australia, and an active member of the Australasian Society of Clinical Immunology and Allergy (ASCIA). I've presented at national conferences on food allergy management and contributed to upskilling Australian dietitians through the ASCIA Food Allergy Course for Dietitians.

With me, you can trust that you are getting the right advice.

Over the years, I've supported many children and families through the challenges of food allergies. My passion is helping you feel less stressed at mealtimes while making sure your child gets the nutrition they need to grow and thrive.

As a mum of two, I truly understand the demands of young children and the added anxiety food allergies can bring. That's why my approach is no-fuss, approachable, and understanding — providing simple, practical advice that works in real life, not just on paper.

I'll listen carefully to your concerns and work with you on realistic strategies and goals. My mission is to help you feel more confident, less anxious, and reassured that you are doing the very best for your child.

My special focus is supporting parents navigate babies with cow's milk allergy, eczema, and introduction to solids — but I also enjoy helping families manage multiple food allergies, eosinophilic oesophagitis, coeliac disease, reflux, lactose intolerance, fructose intolerance, and other feeding challenges.

I look forward to helping you and your family,
